Implementing the COinS HTML widget for Zotero
ContextObjects in Spans (COinS) is a means of placing bibliography metadata within HTML text. Zotero and other programs use COinS to extract this metadata from web pages to archive and manage bibliographic information. The COinS HTML widget prepares the metadata of items in the Search Results display or Item Detail display according to the COinS standard. In this format, Zotero and other programs can extract the data from Portfolio. The widget can be used for both the Search Result display or Detail display without the need for revision.
